After we were done building and the other homes were going up around us, we were told that our backyard would be taken care of. Well, all of the homes are done and our backyard is not flat, and I brought this to their attention, as I wanted to expand the backyard area to get maximum. Come to find out my backyard sits on an area that the city says that I cannot expand my land on to. This was not disclosed to me when we purchased the lot and home. So I have asked Fischer to rectify the situation by flattening my backyard and putting up a retaining wall. They will not return my calls, and this has been going on for about 8 months now.
I've been searching online and found several lawsuits against Fischer for subpar work. At the closing walk thru one toilet had been improperly installed and had to be fixed. Now with a new 3 year old oof, I'm looking at having to replace it.

Fischer homes has been the absolute worst nightmare when it comes to building. I went through the process with them a year and a half ago. Everything from sales, to building, to the project managers, and customer service has been horrible. I was lied to about multiple lots by sales and they were bought out from under me because of it. They also lie to everyone buying that the slides to the pool work. I even called out the sales lady on it and she was stunned and didnÂ’t know what to say.

It means youÂ’re free to schedule after this day and time. He kept arguing with me that I had to tell him to get out of my house! I would absolutely never recommend Fischer Homes to anyone, not even my worst enemy. TheyÂ’ve been lying to buyers for years about our great amenities that donÂ’t even work. So many other neighbors have had water leaks and mold issues in their basements from shower leaks, etc.
At the closing walkthrough, I pointed out an issue I had with the driveway having dirt all over it. They told me that they would send someone by to pressure wash it off. They brought a concrete expert out who said that it needed to be replaced.

Then they fired that concrete company and brought in another concrete expert that said it either needed to be patched or replaced as the only two options. We specifically do not want to patch the driveway as it is a brand new house and driveway and that is not what we paid for. The issue comes from improper installation as confirmed by both concrete companies. Now I have another roof leak from the subpar materials and labor Fischer contracted out. If it was just my house with this issue, I wouldn't think too much about it but apparently most of my neighbors have also had roof leak issues.

I purchased a lot that was the first to be built on that connected to four other lots. During the time of purchase, no one told us that the lot would not be completely flat.
